Defence Anglicans is committed to the respectful, lawful and transparent handling of personal information across all its ministries and activities.
Our work spans chaplaincy governance, national church oversight, and community outreach in support of Australian Defence Force members and their families. Because these activities are carried out by distinct legal entities, each entity maintains its own Privacy Policy tailored to its governance responsibilities and operational context.
All policies are aligned with:
the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and
the Anglican Church of Australia General Synod Privacy Policy (November 2024).

Defence Force Anglican Chaplaincy Incorporated (DFACI) – Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the professional association responsible for the governance, accreditation and oversight of Anglican chaplaincy ministry within the Australian Defence Force.
It covers the handling of personal information relating to chaplains, clergy, governance processes and ecclesiastical responsibilities.
Anglican Church of Australia Defence Force Board (DFB) – Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Defence Force Board, established by Canon of the General Synod, which provides advice and support to the Primate, bishops and national church bodies regarding Anglican ministry to Defence Force members and their families.
It addresses the handling of personal information in governance, advisory and canonical contexts.
Anglican Military – Outreach Services (AMOS)
Privacy Policy
This policy applies to Anglican Military – Outreach Services, which supports the welfare, comfort and education of Defence Force members and their families, and enables chaplains to minister more effectively.
It covers the handling of personal information relating to donors, supporters, volunteers, outreach programs and welfare activities.
